I noticed XFinity is now supporting the Apple Watch as of last month. Before that, it was rumored that no MVNO's were going to support it. Wouldn't it make sense for Spectrum mobile to support it now? Any rumors on a timeline? Every time I ask them directly, I get the "we have no information" response.

If it's going to be a long time or never, I need to switch carriers.

Spectrum tried to convince me to switch from my current carrier to their mobile. Turns out the new Spectrum mobile is more expensive than most of the others unless you bundle it with Spectrum Internet and TV. Beware of Spectrum (formerly known as Charter).

I have to have their internet since they are the only game in town, but I'm paying $45 per month for unlimited , and I even set my mother up with the $14/month plan since she doesn't use much data. It was the same service I got with Verizon, just cheaper. I couldn't be happier with it, except for no Apple Watch cellular support!! Just knowing that I can leave my phone at home to go for a walk or a run or go into a store is making me want to switch, but I'll be patient.

If this is true, I am STOKED! I’ve been waiting to upgrade my phone, in hopes that they’d finally jump on the train. Just last week I almost caved — put a sparkly new phone and watch in the AT&T cart, pulled my card out, but kazoo on my shoulder told
me to shut it down and be patient.

I’m waiting here very impatiently. I’ve done the same as you, but with a Verizon cart 😂

Any update?? C’mon Spectrum Mobile, I don’t want to wait for watch 7 !!
We set up my wife’s iPhone 12 today, replacing a 6+ we had moved to Spectrum from ATT last fall. After pairing her watch, it asked if we wanted to set up cellular service on the watch and informed us that Spectrum was starting a FREE trial program for Apple watch.

Well, we couldn’t get it to work, as it said the EMEI wasn’t compatible. I understand you have to possibly get the EMEI released from ATT first even though we didn’t buy it from them and haven’t had ATT for 4 months, and the watch is old enough it’s well past 24 months since we first activated it.

Has anyone had any luck with activation?

Edit:her watch is a Nike Series 3 so it may just be too old.

Good news: Spectrum now offers cellular access for the Apple Watch. Bad news: you need the SE ($329) or Series 6 ($499) to gain access.
