Has anyone had an issue/delay returning an Apple Watch? Not only does the return status not update accurately and show it was received by the carrier although it’s been delivered back to Apple, but the return still hasn’t processed a week later.

Another member mentioned they were having issues with delays with a return, that’s partially due to the pandemic. I would allow it 48 hours and then follow up an Apple if you have not received any feedback.

I had a pretty serious delay, almost a month. I got caught up in the issue with their return processing being down and they issued me a manual FedEx. I had to follow up 3 times but it finally went through.

I guess it depends and I've had some that that was processed the very next day apple received it. I had one return that was delivered on Tuesday, and they processed the return the very next day early morning. The graphite AW6 that I returned, I initiated the return, shipped it out on Saturday, it got delivered on a Tuesday, and there was no update. Then 1 week later I got the email that they have received my item and that I'd be getting a refund.

I did the same thing for the MBP, which fedex tracking shows that it got delivered on 10/27/2020. Still no update, and I called Apple yesterday. The rep told me that she does see that the item was received at the warehouse in Mt. Juliet, TN on 10/27/2020, I was told it can take up to 5 to 8 business days (not counting weekends) for them to process the return. The rep I spoke to asked if I would like them to escalate it because the e-mail I got said I have till 11/6/2020 for Apple to receive it, which is in 2 days, in which I voiced my concerns. I will phone Apple again on Friday to see what's going on if there is no update.

Update: I just got an e-mail that they Processed the return for the MacBook that was delivered to them on 10/27/2020. Hopefully yours will update soon.

Thank you all for your help! I think the biggest concern is the return tracking online shows that the carrier didn't even receive it although Apple has it back at their warehouse already. They've re-assured they have it, but. bait odd their systems are not showing that.

Yea the website doesn't always update and only does once apple process the return. As long as Apple scans it into their system as received, then it should be fine.

Yup. Mine took like 2 weeks to get a refund. Work with chat support

With Apple pretty much shuttering down their stores for folks to browse and check out something before they purchase it without an appointment I’m sure their return rates are soaring. Especially on watches. Pictures of finishes and colors only go so far. Perhaps this may have residual effects on return times.
