I've had an Apple Watch since the S0 (S0,2, & 3) but have noticed something unusual on my new AW S3. During the day, I experience the expected battery drain as I use it for notifications, texting, and the random short call. Generally speaking, I'm at about 75-80% battery by 5 PM if i take it off the charger at 7 AM.

However when I activate a workout for my evening run (GPS, LTE and non-streaming music over AirPods), the battery immediately drops to 50-55% before I take a single stride. Over the course of a 45 min run, the watch then loses another 15% or so and I end the run at 35-40% battery. I used the AW S2 non-tethered and never experienced the same pattern.

It's not a big deal as I easily get through the rest of the day but I wouldn't expect such a big drop from simply starting the workout app on the watch. I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced the same scenario. I've replicated it now for the past week so it happened pre WOS 4.1.

I've noticed erratic battery drops as well - as an example, this morning I was at 100% for about 4 hours, and then it dropped to 87% at hour 5, which is about right for 5 hours for me. Since then, so about 2 hours, I've remained at 87%. There may be a bug reporting battery life which will hopefully sort itself out eventually.
