Apple Watch S4, can’t change screen brightness after 6.0.1

Updated my Apple Watch series 4 this morning to WatchOS 6.0.1. Driving tonight I noticed the watch was especially bright. Turns out I can’t turn the brightness down anymore.
 
Update, Turning the Watch off and on didn’t fix the issue but erasing and re-pairing did.
