Apple Watch Sale?

Went into Apple Store to look at the new Nike Series. Take this with a grain of salt but the Apple employee told me to wait. He said he would love to sell me one today but something "big" is coming.

I am thinking it's going to be a sale for the holidays OR a massive collaboration with insurance companies for subsidies.

Employees do NOT know what is going to happen. If all Apple employees (or even a few) were told of operations to come how long would it take for this info to be posted on the internet (rhetorical)? Secrets are only secrets if keep from the internet masses.
