I'd like to buy an Apple Watch as my first smartwatch. I've used an iPhone for 8 years and just got an iPhone 8. How good is the Series 1 for the first-time smartwatch buyer? I'm on a budget and am literally just getting into the smartwatch niche.

Can anyone weigh in. What do you like most about yours?

Don't care about GPS or waterproof. (Not a big fitness guy). Just want to see what all the fuss is about.

If you're not interested in Fitness and GPS, Series 1 will provide you with enough capabilities and other functions for communication. It has the same processor used in the Series 2. You could also find a gently used one on Swappa or an open box model from Best Buy to even save you somewhat more money.

You like to wear watch? I’m wearing watch everyday so wearing Watch is quite natural. If you don’t normally wear watch & don’t care about fitness stuffs then I hardly see how Watch will be beneficial to you.
