I am looking for an apple watch as a companion to my Iphone. I dont want to spend so much on a apple watch so i have ruled out series 3.
if i understood correctly both edition will take Watch OS 5. their difference is on the battery since the difference on the processor is not so obvious. Also the series 2 is water resistant

my question is worth the money difference for the second generation? im not swimming with the watch and i plan to remove it when i wash my hands but i would like to know that can tolerate sweat or a little water splash. Also what about the battery? I dont mind to charge it every night but i dont want to turn off during the day

The Series 1 is rated for splash resistance, where as the Series 2 is 50 Meter water resistance rated. You also have GPS and brighter display with over the Series 1. Both Apple Watches Are rated 18 Hours for battery life, but Thats completely subjective based on usage and settings.

The Series 1 *Should* survive being worn during the shower and rinsing it off. But the Series 2 is rated for more adverse water activity. I personally would opt for the Series 2.

Thanks for the insight. It's weird but for some reason there are not many series 2 on sale for example on eBay. Why that happens? Is the difference of the GPS important?

GPS for sure but also newer version - better quality - and everything mentioned by "Relentless Power"
