Wow!! On sale it’s the price of a MacBook Air on sale!!! How is this normal? The titanium case and Sapphire glass are cool but are they really worth that much more over base? Esp after this many years? I can’t say much im a fool with an Apple Watch Ultra 2 but that got me quite a bit more than just titanium and sapphire glass.

It's not the cost to make or the materials, its the perceived status that adds $$$. A Cartier watch probably doesn't cost much more to make than a Seiko...

Does the link bracelet ever go on sale?

Probably not
The loop bracelets do go on 'sale' at times.
Try Woot.
That's where I bought the Milanese loop in gold. The only thing bad about the metal loop bracelet is that the magnet is very weak so the bracelet keep getting loose.
Even eBay has them discounted sometimes but it sells out quickly.

I had the Ti S7 and upgraded to Ti S11 this year. Is it “worth it” compared to the aluminum, no, but I’d get cellular anyway, so the difference is smaller. Also just love the sapphire screen and the look, and I can afford it, so 🤷🏻‍♂️

I didn’t even realize until now that they still sell a standard Apple Watch in Titanium. Don’t get why someone would get this over the Ultra for the price? It looks the same as the stainless steel, but has way less battery life than the Ultra. I guess maybe for those who only care about looks and also their tiny little wrists would fracture under the weight of stainless steel?

I had the Stainless Steel S7 (was there a titanium version?) anyway, I also bought the Titanium S11. This was solely because the battery was past its best and I had the opportunity to buy it tax-free in Hong Kong. But the point is I see and feel no improvement. In fact my S7 looked better. I feel genuinely sad that it now has no life ahead of it. This is waste. Maybe I should have replaced the battery (actually I tried, but I won’t bore you with that saga). I got the steel mesh strap but quickly replaced that with the leather strap I got on eBay after Apple got obsessed with Mother Earth and ditched leather. I’m rambling but you can see what. I’m not sure point I’m trying to make other than I love the leather strap and probably should have just replaced the battery in my S7. The S11 had brought me nothing new that I notice or care about.

I went from a black titanium S6 to a black titanium S10. Titanium is worth it to me because because it is more durable than aluminum and lighter weight than stainless steel. The saphire crystal is also much more scratch resistant that the standard one. I wore the S6 daily for over 4 years and it had no scratches on the crystal or the watch itself.
I don't use cellular (which comes on the titanium models). And I have upgraded to the black titanium strap which is much more comfortable on me than the stainless steel mesh band. I've very happy with the result which is both practical and very attractive.
