Apple Watch Series 12 comes in a refreshed selection of case finishes and materials, including ceramic.

Here's a breakdown of the case types, finishes, and pricing across the new Apple Watch lineup:

• Apple Watch Series 12 (aluminum): Available in space gray, black, light gold, and dark bronze (starts at $399).
• Apple Watch Series 12 (titanium): Available in radiant gold and natural (starts at $699).
• Apple Watch Series 12 (ceramic): Available in pearl white and night blue (starts at $899).
• Apple Watch Ultra 4 (titanium): Available in natural and black finishes (starts at $799).
• Apple Watch Hermès Series 12 (titanium): Available in radiant gold and silver (starts at $1,399).
• Apple Watch Hermès Ultra 4 (titanium): Available in natural titanium (starts at $1,499).

The ceramic finish returns with the Series 12 this year, pairing with sand and navy blue Sport Bands that feature a ceramic pin-and-tuck closure to match the case.

Pre-orders for both Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4 are open today, with availability beginning Friday, September 18.

Gorgeous. It appears those special ceramic-pinned bands can only be acquired at the time of purchase. Have to pair Pearl with Sand or Night with Navy to get the band with the ceramic pin. Can't find a way to buy those separately.

The price is right here, too. The Series 5 Apple Watch Edition in White Ceramic sold for $1299+!

Someday, honestly, a nice bright red or purple. Apple Watches are totally disposable tech after 4-5 years; you could even unapologetically make them out of plastic!

Thought about the ceramic, but went Ultra 4 again. One reason was the crap bands selection... why not allow us to buy the band we actually want, like the nice and flat Trail Loops that only come with the Ultra's, which also fit the larger non-Ultra's?

Also it appears that the sports bands are no longer made of PFAS silicone but natural rubber instead.

Radiant Gold for titanium model and the bronze for aluminum is good. I would go for the bronze series 12 if I were to buy one. Not planning on getting one. Happy with my Series 10.

Those are exactly the two on my short list and like you I think the bronze is the winner. My series 10 battery is really struggling now so I am buying a new one this year.
