Apple Watch Series 2 - Take phone calls with bluetooth headphones paired to AWS2?

Before I take the plunge to buy AWS2, can i tap my watch to answer the call using my bluetooth headphones (with mic) which is already paired to my AWS2?

I paired my Bose QC35 with the Gen 2 watch (also had the iPhone in my pocket) for listening to music, and received a phone call, which I could answer with the headphones. So....maybe yes, but, YMMV.
