I just noticed BestBuy.com has the Apple Watch Series 3 Edition, both 38mm and 42mm, on their website refurbished for USD$530.00!

All are currently sold out but that's actually a great price considering they're only 3 months old. Will monitor for them to come back in stock...

As with some BestBuy.com offers, this sounds too good to be true. $530 vs 1149 is a big difference.

I did notice that they are listed as only having a 90 day warranty. So with all things BestBuy, follow-up with Apple to understand if there is any real "Apple Warranty" available.

These Watches are listed, however they're not sold out, because they were never available to begin with according to Best Buy service support.

Stock Would be extremely minimal for a product like this. Not to mention, even if these prices were accurate, their 90 day warranty likely doesn't reflect what is Apple's either, being it's used.

I’ve purchased a refurbished Series 0 from Best Buy before. It looked like it was just an open-box item, but the watch was fine.

I would imagine these watches, once in stock, would still have a decent amount of Apple warranty left as all new products get one year by serial number.

Since it says Best Buy refurbished watches have a 90 day warranty, can you still purchase AppleCare?

I just bought a refurb from Best Buy and checked AppleCare eligibility here https://checkcoverage.apple.com/us/en/?sn=FH7VG3V6J66GJ
It’s still available for mine. Apple states AppleCare is available up to 60 days from purchase so I assume this applies to the original purchase before my refurb purchase. The warranty runs through October ‘18 so I guess I have just a couple days to purchase AppleCare.

Yeah, shouting to the world a secret will help us all get one, smh

Great - thanks for checking. Also - it looks like you get more than the 90 day warranty that was listed on Best Buy's site - which is good to hear too.

One thread on a tech forum is certainly not 'Shouting' to the world. Likely 90 percent or more of every day consumers have no idea these are even available or listed on Best Buy's website.

I bought a gray ceramic edition from Bestbuy and got it the other day, but it only came with the M/L band and not the S/M. Is there anyway to get a S/M band? I tried calling Best Buy but they had no clue what I was talking about

If you are referring to an open box Best Buy item, you will need to purchase the band yourself. If you bought it new, you need to go to Best Buy in person and see if you can talk to someone with a brain.

I got it “geek squad refurbished” (the deal from this thread) for $530. I guess whoever returned the watch didn’t return the S/M band

Was this instore or online?

It looks like it is unavailable online..

You really received the ceramic edition for $530? I saw another mention that someone ordered the edition from BestBuy but received an aluminum.

I saw this thread and got a SBSS with milanese band at $530 and they are now at $799 on Bestbuy.com. Was this $530 thing an error on their site? Regardless it spurred me to upgrade my series 2 at that price. I already have the SB milanese band but it was the same price as the sport band so I can just sell one and add to these upgrade savings.

I bought AppleCare coverage for it. Everything points to the original purchase sometime in late Oct because Apple shows the warranty ending around that time. If so, I got AppleCare just inside the 60 day window.

That is the same exact one that I purchased and it was also late Oct, which I just purchased AppleCare. Great deal, although cermaic one would have an even better deal!

This seems to be a placeholder for BB returns- not necessarily refurbs processed by Apple. Some show "no longer available".

The listing actually says the Edition 'Is no longer available'. I actually question if this listing was an error based on Best Buy. I doubt they even have enough refurbished models in the ceramic edition to even offer that price point.

I’m wondering if Best Buy ever honored it and someone previously received a ceramic with this deal. Im not trying to see if it’s active - I’m just curious.

Best Buy is really good about honoring errors. I purchased a surround listed at a lower price, When it was intended to be priced higher and they priced the sound system at the listed price. If it's their mistake, they will compensate the customer in some form or another.
