Apple Watch Series 3 Performance on WatchOS 6

Did Apple Watch Series 3 see any performance on improvement on WatchOS 6? I know that after updating my Series 4 to OS6, third party apps load almost instantly. Do apps still take awhile to load on Series 3 or are they as fast?

Thinking of getting the Series 3 for my wife since the price is very attractive these days.

I have found apps to load fairly quickly. WatchOS 6 has been smooth on my s3.

Mine has been a little fussy since the update. The screen especially is taking a while to come on--sometimes I have to just hit the digital crown because tapping the screen isn't doing anything. Nothing too horrible, just a little annoying.
