I was wondering if anyone else has had the 'blank screen issue' with the Series 6 watch?
My watch screen went blank last week but the device is still functional e.g. heart rate, noises, vibrations, and I can even feel button press haptic feedback on the blank screen.
Clearly this is an issue with the Series 6 model range. Apple already acknowledged this with a narrow Service Program: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/apple-watch-series6-service-program-for-blank-screen-issue but as my watch was purchased in January 2021 it falls out of the eligibility criteria - despite exhibiting this EXACT issue.
Is it possible that Apple has not fully appreciated the scope of the issue among Series 6 devices? Is there any potential recourse as the product was likely faulty at the point of purchase?
I'd also be interested to hear if other Series 6 owners have had the same issue - particularly if it falls outside of the Service Program coverage date range.
