One thing I'm particularly excited about for the Series 4 is the speed improvements. This is one area that coming from a series 0 has been particularly rough and holding the AW back...
I wanted to see about how much faster the Series 4 would be than the OG Apple Watch...
Series 0 --> Series 1/2 (No official word from Apple, that I could find, so I'm going with 50% sounds about right)
1.5x faster than S0
Series 1/2 --> Series 3 (70% faster than S1/2)
2.55x faster than S0
Series 3 --> Series 4 ("up to 2x" faster than S3)
5.1x faster than S0
Obviously there are some assumptions going into play here, but it appears that the Series 4 should be about 5 times faster than the original Apple Watch. While S0 support is being dropped officially next week, I have to imagine Series 4 should get updates for many years.
