Apple Watch Sport setup without iphone

Hi,
Recently I won an Apple Watch Sport in a lucky draw. In order to set it up I don't have an iphone.
So how can I set it up ? Is there any android app that can be used to do the same.
(If it shows only the clock that will be sufficient for me).

Unfortunately there isn't a way of setting it up without an iPhone. Very annoying (and the only reason I don't have one).

You can't, you need an iPhone, pure and simple. In fact the Apple watch by design is an extension of the iPhone.

since you mentioned that showing just the time/date is sufficient.
have someone(any family, friends or even random person) who has an iPhone to pair it with the watch
then just turn off all the notifications from the iPhone watch app.

That's pretty much the only thing you can do.
Or you can sell it and buy a watch compatible with your other device.

Just to note, this person will have to be someone with no plans to get their own Apple watch, as if that person wants to pair a watch to their phone, they would have to unpair OP's watch, which I believe would cause the OP's watch to go back to the settings screen.
