apple watch step counter

those with the watch, I'm wondering if you can adjust the stride/run steps in the app? in my garmin vivosmart, it has an option to calibrate the length of one's stride for walking/running vs distance to get pretty close accurate distance.
Just wondering if the Watch has this option.
