Does anyone know why the apple watch health app/activity app shows a different amount of steps than that of the pedometer ++ app that is on the phone and watch?

I have the pedometer ++ as a complication to my watch home screen and had selected the "merge apple watch data" in the settings

The pedometer++ is allowed to write and read data as well in the data sources section of the health app.

Just weird that the system is giving me different values. Any input is appreciated

That is strange, I went and checked mine, which tbh I hadn't used the Pedometer ++ app in sometime. Mine read exactly the same, and I also have merge apple watch data set and turned all categories on.

Clearly this doesn't explain why you are having issues, but sound like something is wonky in some dusty corner of some setting or something. Good luck.

Different apps calculate these things differently, that’s why if you wear another step counter, it will count different numbers.
