I am attempting to set up my Apple Watch series 4 with my iPhone X. Both are fully updated to latest software but I keep getting stuck with message “not connected to internet” when I clearly am connected. I can’t get them to pair. Anyone please help...

My guess is, you will have to send your Apple Watch for a software reboot, Apple will have to revert the watch to the previous WatchOS update through the Diagnostic port on the watch, Then they will resend it back to you, and you have to re-download the update. It sounds like maybe an interruption caused a ‘faulty/corrupted update‘.
