Hi everyone, I have a new apple watch I got for Christmas.

All has been pretty good but just an annoying issue, maybe it's like this for other people, but it appears the Apple watch thinks I am asleep many hours since I woke up.

I wake up around ~5AM and every day around 8-8:30 AM (random times), I get a notification on my watch saying "Looks like you're awake, do you want to turn off sleep?" or something like that.

When I check the sleep part of the Health app I see that it says I slept until that time.

What's weirder is when I wake up I hold down the crown to turn off the "sleep mode" as well so I can use the features.

Anyone have this issue? Any ideas?

Are you manually starting the sleep focus or using a schedule?

Holding the crown down just lets you use your watch until you wrist down/display turns off. It doesn’t stop sleep focus, you either need to configure a schedule so it turns off automatically or manually turn sleep focus off

I get that message frequently but pretty soon after I get up. It catches me off guard because I’ve unlocked my iPhone and walked around the house with my watch on. I’m probably missing something but I just always think it will determine that I’m awake now.

Apple said:
Tip: To turn off the Sleep Focus, press and hold the Digital Crown to unlock. Then swipe up to open Control Center and tap
the Sleep Focus button

It has a schedule and I am manually turning it off when I wake up on my watch as well.

And on my phone (synced with my computer.)
