Apple Watch Triggers ATV to turn on

I'm sure this is a easy answer...
I have not setup my Apple Watch as a -remote- on ATV

I've noticed this twice already. Everything is turned off.
My setup is display-receiver-ATV via hdmi control.

When I place my Apple Watch on the charging pad, it literally wakes up the ATV and does HDMI control (turns on display and also changes/tunes source on the receiver to ATV).

What am I amiss on the Apple Watch setting option if any ?
I DO want the apple tv remote to tun on/off respond via the ATV remote.
I'm just not sure why the Apple Watch is doing what it's doing...
