Amazon has a few big discounts on Apple Watch today, headlined by a new all-time low price on the Apple Watch Ultra 2. Many of these watches can be delivered by Christmas, with delivery dates around the middle of next week for most models.

Apple Watch Ultra 2

Starting with the Apple Watch Ultra 2, Amazon has the new 2023 wearable for $699.00, down from $799.00. This is the first time we've ever tracked a $100 discount on the Apple Watch Ultra 2, and it's only available in the Green/Grey Trail Loop right now.

Note: You won't see the deal price until checkout.

Note that you will need to clip an on-page coupon worth $50 in order to see the final $699.00 price tag at the checkout screen. There are a few Apple Watch Ultra 2 models at $729.99 on Amazon, which is a solid second-best price.

Apple Watch Series 9

Amazon also has a few Apple Watch Series 9 devices on sale. You can get the 41mm GPS device for $309.99 in Midnight Aluminum, down from $399.00. That's an all-time low price that's even beating the sales we tracked over Black Friday.

Only the 41mm GPS Midnight Aluminum color is available at this record low price, but you can still shop quite a few second-best prices if you prefer other colors. You'll find these at $329.99, although some may arrive after Christmas.

For 45mm GPS options, you can get two colors for $339.99, down from $429.00. These are all-time low prices that are again beating Black Friday deals, and both Midnight and Silver Aluminum are available to deliver before Christmas.

Note: You won't see the deal price until checkout.

Apple Watch SE

Finally, low prices have also returned to the Apple Watch SE. You can get the 40mm GPS model for $199.00 in multiple colors, down from $249.00. The 44mm GPS model is on sale for $229.00, down from $279.00.

Waiting for my watching to die again before upgrading.

I have a S4 SBSS that I loved, Ultra 2 beats it in every aspect. This is a great deal

I switched from the 4 to the Ultra. The Ultra is my favorite apple watch and close to my favorite apple product. Battery is forever, always on is nice and battery is still forever. One of my pet peeves was wearing a black square on my wrist..always on makes it feel more like a watch. I still hope to use it to take up diving. The only downside is that when I run it is big enough that I notice it more now.

Do stainless apple watches ever go on sale? Looking to replace a stainless Apple Watch Series 4.

I do qualify for 10% off direct from Apple via their Veteran's Discount - I was thinking of just going that route.

Why Apple only discounts prices in USA (or veeeery few countries)
Despite having official Applem stores in many other countries?

Apple isn't discounting at its Apple Stores in the U.S. either.

Amazon, an Apple authorized reseller, is the one doing the discounting in this case. Best Buy, B&H, Walmart and others that are Apple authorized resellers discount too.

I'll be real honest here. I have the SS series 4 and I've used it since I've purchased it every single day. My battery life is still at 94% and the thing just won't die. BUT it is slow. Not annoying to the point but I don't use it for anything else except reading messages and responding to a few. I do track all my activities but let me just tell you after years of data collected what do I do with that information? It does not help me in any way whatsoever to improve. In fact all that data collected is just meaningless except maybe to glance at the history once in a while. The only important data collected is the sleep tracking and I do value that information but my SS S4 can still do all that without spending another $700+ to get this new one.

I'd replace the battery on my SS S4 before I'd buy the Ultra/2 watches. It's way too expensive for something I use that's so basic for my needs.

Keep dropping. That Ultra 2 is an eye watering $1099 plus local tax, 13% in most of Canada = $1,241.87 CAD About the same price as a base model iPhone 15.

Everyone's use case and needs/desires are going to be different, but I went from a Series 7 to an Ultra 2 and I absolutely love the upgrade. I wear it around the clock except when I need to charge it. At first, the large size is definitely noticeable but after a week, I didn't notice the bulky size anymore. As everyone else has said, the battery life is absolutely superb and has changed the entire Watch experience for me. It is liberating not having to charge it once a day. Under normal daily wear, I can easily go halfway through the thrid day before I need to toss it on the charger. It fast charges quickly while I'm showering. The larger display has been fantastic and makes the usability much, much better.

On the Ultra-side of things, it has been great. Life has been really busy for me lately, so I have not taken it out for a really long run yet, but I have used it on a couple 5-hour runs and one 7-hour run. On the 7-hour run, I used the full GPS/activity tracking and listened to music and podcasts 90% of the time. I was thrilled to see that I had a lot of battery leftover when I was done. The large amount of nits has also been extremely useful for me. While moving in very bright sun with super dark shades on, the display is shockingly bright which makes it very easy to read while glancing at it while on the move. I've also taken it up many times over 12,000 feet and the altimeter readings and Blood O2 readings have been excellent. The HR Monitor, while still the same, has been spot on. The GPS tracks have been superb and extremely accurate, much better than that of my Series 7 and my Ultra 2 is outperforming my older Garmin watches.

Overall, I could not be happier with it. I've put it through the paces and there's not a scratch on it. The sapphire crystal is tough as nails, check out the YouTube videos out there on it. I would upgrade again and again if given the chance. But with that being said, not everyone needs these extra functionalities and if so, then by all means keep rocking your Series 4/5/6/7/whatever and saving some dollars for the new version next year or the year after!

So it’s worth paying $700 for the dramatic difference which is better battery life and always on?

What else am I Missing

The whole question of whether something is worth an upgrade is something everyone has to make for themselves. For my watch, I couldn't even make it through a full day anymore. I had avoided the Ultra up to that point (about a month or so ago) because I couldn't stand the orange accents on the watch. Once I found a site that sold vinyl decals that could cover it all up and blend in, I decided to order one to try it out for myself to see how I liked it. After a few days, the size of screen became a much bigger deal than I thought it would be. I really enjoy having the extra real estate when you are talking about something where you're trying to hit small touch points with your giant finger.

My suggestion, if you are on the fence place an order and use the return window to determine if it is right for you.

This made me move. I was hoping to get a price close to $700 and then use my AMZN $80 AMEX promo to get it lower. So, for $620 all in, $425 back from apple for an AWU1 trade in gift card, at $194 to upgrade to the new watch, get another year or warranty, KEEP the original band I had, it was worth it to upgrade - which normally for this revision I wouldn’t do.

I’m not a HUGE fan of the band color that had the $50 discount, everything else was only $19 discount from the $749 listed price, but ok, I’ll see what I can do with that.

Everyone benefiting from this, you can thank me for buying an OG Ultra at this price a few days ago

Thats what return policies are for. I bought an iPhone 15 Pro 256GB from apple last week because wife's iPhone XR finally died. While it was in transit, Verizon resumed $415 trade in on an iPhone XR they offered earlier in the year, but not at the time I ordered phone :(

So I returned phone to apple (I hadn't even opened the shipping box) and got the phone from Verizon instead.

Curiously there are/were a few deals on Amazon.co.uk.

In fact so good a deal I just bought an Ultra 2 a few hours ago.
£749.00
Blue Ocean band, which is not what I wanted, but I'll take it.

I figured the £150 difference from the £599.00 Ultra 1 was justifiable. (only just! 🙂)

Arriving tomorrow.

Edit: I see the price is now back up to £780/£799

Always scary to see how fast Apple Watches fall in price, in particular in the 2nd hand market. I'll keep my Ultra 1 for a few years unless Apple makes something compelling.

Yeah, I’m in Ontario and I just can’t do it, it’s way too much money even though I really want one. All that money and I’ll trash it in 6 years.
