Apple Watch Ultra 2 + HomePod

Hi , There is something I don’t understand with the Ultra 2 and HomePod , this :

« The new chip also allows better interactivity between the watch and Apple’s HomePod. When a HomePod is within four meters of a HomePod playing audio, Now Playing automatically launches to control the HomePod. If the HomePod is not playing anything, media suggestions appear in the Smart Stack. »

How does that work ? I own both Ultra 2 and HomePod 2 , and nothing of what is described above happens , is there a setting I must use or something?

It seems to work good for me and I never opted into any setting. I actually wish there was a way to turn it off since it sometimes interferes with playing music through my AirPods.

Could you describe me what’s supposed to happen when you are in the same room than a HomePod ?
