I have had the Ultra since release. From last September through about May, I was charging every other day, in almost every case. I would be near 10-20% at the end of the second day.

Since May, I get to about 40-50 after a day, and then I get ‘battery anxiety’ and have to charge it every night. Not ideal of course for long term battery health.

Anyone else see this? New firmware related? Thanks!

I have had my Ultra since launch, and for the last few months, I have experienced the same thing, and like you I get battery anxiety and charge it every night vs every other day. I’m going to start using Low Power Mode on my watch and see what happens. I’ve been off work since 7/4 and still experiencing the same battery life. All I’ve been doing at home is resting since my medical emergency, so my battery shouldn’t be depleting like this.

No change here since launch day.
Install the latest OS on both watch and phone, give it a few days to settle, restart both watch and phone

What does the battery health say on the watch?

Which watchOS version are you on?

I’m on the 40mm Series 5, I usually upgrade every year but we skipped last year.

I thought it was just aging of the battery, but have noticed this also.

I have a pal who has been having the same battery issues but on the larger series 5.

He checked his ECG and found he has a bad ECG sensor.

I’ll probably see if I can get it replaced on apple care before the new watch comes out so I can get a stronger resale.

Yeah, I've noticed that my Apple Watch Ultra battery life has been worse than expected lately. But I figured that the watchOS 10 public beta, which I installed when it came out, was to blame.

One day a few weeks ago I tracked over 9 hours of outdoor walking on my Ultra over the course of just under 16 hours. My Ultra died as I was walking home (about 200 feet from my door).

The other day I tracked about 6 hours of workouts, the bulk of which was a 3.5 hour hiking workout. A little under an hour was an open water swim workout, and the rest were outdoor walk workouts. I left my house at 5 am that morning with a fully charged Ultra, and returned home at 11:30 pm with just 1% battery left.

This was surprising, because in the past I've been able to track heavy workout days (6+ hours of tracking) on my 42 mm Series 3 and then my 44 mm SE (1st generation) without any issues. I figured that even with a poorly battery optimized beta running on my Ultra I'd have no problem at all tracking these heavy days. I'm hoping this is an issue with the Betas that gets resolved this fall.
