My new Apple Watch Ultra's screen doesn't like the rain. I have had my Ultra for about three weeks, I use it exclusively for running, twice I have been out running in the rain, the first problem started with starting and stopping playing songs while using my running playlist in Music. I was out today in heavier rain and as soon as the screen got wet it wouldn't respond at all. Never had any problem with my Series 6, surprised with this given how it has been marketed as a tough adventure watch!

Just throwing something out there. The screen isn't going into swimming mode is it? Did you happen to see a water droplet icon at the top center?

Doesn't seem right... My ultra responds to touches and the screen works fine even when I'm swimming and the watch is fully submerged in water. I would take it to Apple and have them run a full diagnostic test.

Mine does the same in the shower same with my series 5 I replaced it with I think the droplets mess with the display like using your phone when it’s wet

I think the watch is going into swimming mode, or the droplets are making the screen difficult to respond. Both of which I would consider expected behavior. If it is something else, I would say it is not normal.

happens to me a bit if it's raining and i'm running. it either goes on swim mode or the droplets mess up a bit but a quick wipe fixes it.
