Is this still a thing?

The weather complication just displays “--”. I have followed the tips listed on apples website but nothing works. Both phone and watch are both up to date.

Known issue with several complications.
What we don’t know is this an Apple issue or “feature “.

As described in various other threads, I had to reset my location and privacy settings for my weather complications to work properly. Settings / General / Transfer or Reset iPhone / Reset / and choose "Reset Location & Privacy. Note, all of your apps will have to re-ask you for permission for anything related to location or privacy. I was hesitant to do this as I had lots of apps, but I'm really glad I did this as I re-evaluate what apps have what permissions.

Thanks for this. I’m gonna do this later myself as I’ve had issues with weather as well.
