One of the reasons for my getting the Ultra is my previous Apple Watch won't last the whole day to night if I record too much exercise. I would hit a weightlifting studio which is a 50-minute class. And then later hit a cycling studio for the same time frame. I would walk around town to do my errands versus driving a car if the weather is excellent.

I got the Ultra at launch and have been using it daily to record my fitness routine as per usual. However, I noticed that although the watch would record my activity, it sometimes didn't sync with the phone's Workout app.

For example last Sunday I did both a weightlifting workout in the morning and then a cardio workout before noon. The watch recorded the workout, but only passed on one of these to the Workout app.

Yesterday and today I did my usual 50-minute cardio studio routine. And both workouts were not passed on to the Workout app.

However, my Move and Exercise numbers correctly show 612 calories and 57 minutes, respectively. But the actual workout that I recorded does not show up.

Checking if someone is experiencing the same. This doesn't occur with the previous watch. I never skipped a beat recording my workout or the data being passed on. So checking if this is an Ultra-specific issue.

I've powered off both devices to see if it would sync after with no success.

I picked up another Ultra tonight at my Apple store and see if it works better and wasn't properly set up (or needs an OS reinstall).

Hello! I am having the exact same problem. New Ultra, new iPhone 14 Pro. I have tried powering off and on, force quitting apps, and even just tried resetting sync data in Watch app. Never had a sync issue with any of combination of watches and phones I’ve had.

Hi, apart from signing in and out of icloud to reset the sync.

Theres actually one crucial setting I found that doesn’t start the workout at all.

Precision Start is the latest addition that removes the workout countdown BUT what that means is you have to manually press the ACTION button to make the workout start. Otherwise, it won’t.

I didn’t like that setting to I i clicked it and went back to the automatic countdown to start the workout.

I have now reset the Apple Watch Ultra - from the Watch app - erasing everything and re-paired. It is now syncing with the Fitness app. I will monitor it.
