Apple watch - Unable to check for update

I just went onto the Apple Watch app to see if the os2 update was out and my phone won't check for updates? It has an error that says 'Unable to check for update because you are not connected to internet' but I am???

Does this mean os2 about to be released or an issue with my iphone?

I get the response that 1.0.1 is up to date when I check in the Apple Watch app on my iPhone.

It is likely doing that because those who are impatient keep hitting "check for update" over & over & over ...

I checked this morning and it fixed itself, must've just been my phone.

"Not connected to internet" error repeatedly. Just rebooted iPhone and watch, and it showed right up. Now it is downloading -- "about 2 hours remaining." C'mon Apple! I have a 70Mbps connection!
(I thought the Apple watch wasn't selling well! Based on the traffic on the update site.....)

I had the same thing, but fixed it by rebooting my phone.

Still..."about 1 day remaining." Really???
