My Apple watch (ss, s0) was still running watchOS 3.x. I purposely wanted to wait updating to 4, seeing how it affected performance on the series 0 in some tests on YT. Although I like the features of watchOS 4, I rather waited for the performance to be improved in a later update.
This morning when I woke up, it was all of a sudden in the process of updating watchOS, couldn't stop it of course. So now it's all done and running 4.1. Okay, although the performance doesn't seem that bad, it is actually noticeable slower in some of the UI animations. We'll see how it is (including battery impact) after a few days when any indexing process is done.
A side-bug: in the Apple Watch app on the iPhone it still says there is the watchOS 4.1 update available, with "Installing..." below, while it's already done.
Is this automatic watchOS update common, anyone had the same? I've never seen it updating itself automatically without user confirmation first.
