I called Apple to get Apple care added to my wife's Apple Watch, so we wouldn't have to go to the Apple store to buy it, and the rep told me he couldn't add it now but that it could be added when we receive the watch Friday.

He said we will have a link in our shipping email, that lets us schedule a real or virtual setup appointment when we receive the watch. They will help set up the watch, make sure everything is working properly and answer any questions we may have during this appointment, including adding Apple care.

He sounded very excited that this virtual setup appointment was something new they were trying out. Anyway, just wanted to give a little tidbit of info that I hadn't seen discussed so far.

I believe 9to5Mac had mentioned this - SS and Edition buyers can have it set up via a video chat at home.

Nothing for us cheapskate Sport owners ;)

The one I ordered is the Sport watch, that's why I was surprised.
