Yesterday I downloaded OS 26 to my iPhone and Apple watch. This morning at 2:45 am, the watch vibrated and shone a light in my face, and told me it was time to stand. I could not get back to sleep. Can anyone please walk me through the steps to do whatever needs to be done so this doesn't keep happening? Many thanks.

On your Apple Watch
Press the Digital Crown to see all your apps.
Tap the Settings app (the gear icon).
Scroll down and select Activity.
Toggle the switch for Stand Reminders to the off position.

Turn on the Sleep focus mode while you're sleeping.

I sleep with my watch. Before lights out I put the watch in Theater mode which stops alerts. I also put it in Water Block mode, which keeps it from waking up. I can still tap the screen if I want to wake it during the night. I'd love ro see Apple combine the two modes into one.

Like KitKAC said, use sleep focus. When I turn it on, stand reminders stop, notifications are held, and the display is turned off. If I tap the screen, it briefly flashes the time.

You are so lucky.

My Watch7/2021 has never ever alerted me to stand - desk job sitting 9 hrs/day; since I bought it.

And yes, I have the stand alerts turned on, both on watch and iPhone. My Health app says: "you averaged 13 stand hours a day"; and I put the watch on the charger next to my bed ... caus the battery would not last for 2 days.
