When ever i choose the "walking workout" on my apple watch ultra 2, i never get a live activity on my iphone lockscreen. But when i do indoor cycling i do get it. I was wondering if its possible to get all apple watch training as a live activity on my iphone lockscreen? in that case, how???

i live in sweden and its impossible to handle the watch when having tons of clothes + winter jacket during the winter, and siri is useless so i need to have a quick way to see the walking stats on lockscreen (without opening the fitness app).

As far as I know, cycling is the only workout type that offers live activity on the phone. That's likely because the phone can be mounted like a bike computer so a quick glance can show stats rather than a risky glance at a watch while you are on the road on a bike.

https://support.apple.com/en-us/105089 (search for "live activity" and it only shows on cycling workouts.)

In the winter I wear a cinch band to hold my jacket just above my watch and gloves that do not cover the watch when I do an outdoor running or walking workout. That's probably your best option. Another I suppose is to turn on "Voice Feedback" and go into walking workout preferences on the watch (tap the three-dot control on the top-right of walk workout, scroll down to "Preferences") and set short time and/or splits alerts so that the voice feedback will update you more often.

By the way, that's a good idea. Maybe use Apple's feedback to suggest this as an option: https://www.apple.com/feedback/watch/

I also wish all Apple workouts would show as live activity, not just cycling.

There's a "Mirror watch" function on the iPhone. It's clunky and frequently fails to connect, but when it works, it'll do.

Hey there, buddy! 😊 Could you please share a screenshot of the live activity that’s popping up in the question? That would be super helpful!

Also, I’m curious to know what iPhone you have and what iOS and watchOS versions of both devices you’re using. That info would be great!

yeah this is what i use sometimes, but its way to unreliable and takes long time to setup when you just want to quickly do something
