walked two miles today with my apple watch I am trying to figure out one of the results
Avg pace 17'31" MI...can someone explain exactly what that means. I have l aso have a Garmin Fenix 3 and the results tells for example I walked an average of 5 miles and hour.

It is kind of the same metric, just a different expression. There are two way that people commonly express speed: pace in minutes per mile, and speed MPH. They are just the inverse of one another. Pace is used for slower speeds, like walking and jogging. Speed (MPH or KPH) use used for faster activities like biking or traveling in a car.

So a pace of 17:31 minutes per mile converts to 3.4 MPH.

There ought to be a setting somewhere on the Fenix to tell it to show your walking & running speed in pace (minutes per mile) versus MPH.
