Hi Guys,

Has anyone managed to get this achievement yet? It says after 5 calorie based sessions, earn the award for the most calories burned doing your selected workout. Can anyone clarify exactly what this means and how they got the achievement?

I use the workout app several times a week, and deliberately went for walks last week, each one being 10 more calories than the other, and after doing 6 walks, still no achievement. Any ideas?

It applies to specific workout types. You need to do 5 Elliptical, or 5 Outdoor Walks etc. All of those workouts need to start with a calorie goal, not a time goal or a distance goal.

So, let's say you want the Workout Record Clycling achievement. You've done 10 cycling exercises, but 9 were distance based and 1 was time based. You need to do 5 calorie based bike rides. Of those 5, pick the one with the highest calorie use (not the highest goal, the goal doesn't count for anything). Now, beat that number with a bike ride while using a calorie goal.

Yeah, I don't get it either...

I've gotten one on Elliptical, Outdoor Walking and Cycling. I had 12 or so elliptical workouts before I started tracking by calorie goal, and then it took 7 more to get the achievement (887 calories, even though one of my prior time based ones hit 921).

I think this is only partly right? I had a very frustrating time trying to achieve this award until I beat my best ever calorie goal for cycling, i.e., number of calories achieved for cycling on any workout, not just a calorie based one. I had done about 10 calorie-based workouts, beaten all of them, and still wasn't getting the award, so I was beginning to think it was a glitch. Then one day, I really went for it, and beat my previous all-time cycling burn, which was more than double my highest calorie-based achievement. Suddenly the award showed up on my Watch.

I'm not sure I was using a calorie-based goal that workout, either; unfortunately I can't remember.

From what I can tell, the procedure is:

> Do the same workout five times with a calorie goal
> After this, beat the highest ever recorded calorie burn for that workout, regardless of whether it was time, distance, or calorie-based
> Get award

If that doesn't work, try beating the goal during a calorie-based session. It's definitely one of the more confusingly-worded ones, though. I only got mine by accident.

You could be right about the last workout being based on time or distance. I heard elsewhere that the final one had to be calorie based so I ran only calories based workouts until I got it. But, the past distance and time records don't seem to count (see my statement about my record not beating my best elliptical workout).

Or maybe it's just glitchy...?

I just realized I could work out what workout type I used by looking up the date on the award and then the corresponding workout on that date.

I definitely used a time-based workout to get the award. I'm sure you could also get it for calories, though.

I only ever do "open" workouts and get this award all the time. You just need to completely 5 workouts of the same type and if your 6th is a new high of calories burned, you'll get the award.

I thought this was true as well but I've already earned my walking achievement and my elliptical achievement my elliptical achievement was earned the exact way you're describing but my walking I've only done four exercises and none of them were calorie-based and it gave me the award. however I've been trying to earn the running one. And I have done 10 different workouts all calorie-based and done one that was above and beyond and it has still not given it to me.

If you pull-up your workout type on your watch and swipe to the calorie burn option, it will tell you what your most calories burned is. I was having trouble with this achievement until I noticed this. Exceed that most burned amount and you should get the badge.

I have 4 record badges and have pretty much only done open goals. I have made some time based for rowing and distance based for indoor running. I see now that I'm missing record for stairstepper and elliptical so I guess I'll throw both in a couple of times in the coming weeks.

Im just missing some that I can't get because I'm not living in the states and the last one is 1000 Move goals and that is still over a year away.

This tread is only about Workout Record Badges (Running, Cycling, Elliptical, Stair Stepper, Rower) and not Special Achievement Badges (Thanksgiving, 2017, Earth Day and Mother's Day). Since it was made in 2015.

EDIT: twinlight, I misread your post and have edited my post.
