I have both the Web Server and Remote desktop turned on.

I know my public ip, although it is DHCP, i check it daily, and I have my router forwarding ports 80, 8080, 22, 21, and whatever the port was for remote desktop to the private ip of the mac in question.

I can't get the web pages to resolve, i can't login through VNC, can't even get it to ask me, nothing.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Brian

How is the internal PC's address assigned? I ask because once I messed up MAC addresses and was trying to run a webserver off my wife's laptop rather than off my Mac mini :)

Edit: I used to live in New Mexico... Tohatchi, Gallup, Bluewater, Grants, and Albuquerque :) Where are you at?

Currently in Rio Rancho (so Albuquerque).

It's assigned by dhcp, but I use the router to lock the same address to the MAC address of the Mac. I have double checked it to make sure it's right, and I have checked under network and the ip is the correct one.
