APPLE Website Slow as Molasses

Hello:

Pages are loading slowly at Apple Website (Friday Morn). It seems that the countdown for Panther on front page never loads. Also, the orders status section is useless: teh log in page won't load. I am trying to check an order status and it is pissing me off.

Apple uses akamai.net for distributed web mirroring. you must be on a server that's getting hammered. I pull up everything nice and speady.

This morning it seemed to be down right before my 11 am class while pulling up the order status of something I ordered, but by noon it was back up and as fast as ever. I just figured it was either swamped or down do to technical reasons.
