Apple Wired Aluminum Keyboard return policy?

I bought the wired keyboard a week ago (9/26), I'm just wondering what the return policy is on them? I got a wireless version, which I like much more. Can I just do a straight return, or do I have to pay a restocking fee? Anyone offer any insight? Thanks!

Dangit! I just found the official policy, and it states:

"Apple will assess a 10% restocking fee on any opened hardware or accessory."

Found on the official policy page. Crap, does this mean that I will have to? Have you tried this before?

Call me silly, but a $4-5 hit on restocking fee seems worth it to not have to lose more money and deal w/ the hassle of selling it yourself (via MR/ eBay/ CL).

Probably accurate. I think I'll have to go that route and bite the bullet on a few bucks.

i bought a mighty mouse last year for $70-something. it didn't quite agree with me, so i returned it, expecting to pay the restocking fee. fortunately, they waived the restocking fee, all $7 of it. it might have helped that it was packed like new.

Well, just returned it without a problem. No restocking fee or anything. Of course, I had it all dolled up like new, even in the plastic and everything.
