Apple wireless keyboard login lag - imac 27"

my apple wireless keyboard seems to lag when im on the login screen, i have to wait 10 - 20 seconds before the keyboard starts to react.

at first i thought it was just a crap and slow bt connection but the keyboard does respond when there is a white screen/white screen with apple logo when you choose the hard drive/os

any way to *fix* this?




p.s. - a blue screen has now started to appear just before the login bit after the white screen with the apple logo, is this normal?




p.s.s. (lol) my conspiracist paranoia has kicked in and i keep thinking that my mac has a keylogger or something watching me after i have been downloading things. I think i got a bit too relaxed know, "yeah i have a mac, im immune to the internetz". any way to check if my computer has a spy?



and installing a fresh operating system really must be avoided at all costs as my time machine has only been setup a while after i started to get paranoid.

p.s.s.s. (sorry!) is there a way i can make Better Touch Tool give my magic mouse a "middle button click and hold click", as i greatly miss this third/middle scroll button my logitech mouse has
