Apple wireless keyboard problems

I have the apple wireless bluetooth keyboard in use with my Rmbp and it behaves oddly. often Ill be typing words and letters will be missing, but if I go back and press that letter again it'll work. I'm using the keyboard nearby and batteries are good, and the computer is loaded with Mavericks. I'm not sure what the problem is, anyone else have similar issues with theirs?

you will need to try it on another computer. If it does the same it is not fixable.
