Hello,

I've found a lot of posts around the web about problems with Wireless Mouse tracking issues, but I haven't found a fix yet. It properly pairs with my Macs, clicks and scrolls, but it's not tracking. It's strange because it happened pretty suddenly, since there wasn't any perceptible decay on its performance. The pointer just stopped moving from a day to another.

Take an q-tip and dig it into liquid alcohol and clean the mouse pad ball.

There is no ball... it's a wireless magic mouse. Probably the sensor is dead. I disassembled it following youtube tutorials and couldn't find anything that could be fixed. Perhaps replacing the sensor's IC, but I don't have such soldering skills.

Then get another mouse then. Plus you never said this was Magic Mouse before!

Sorry, I didn't realize. From my research (mostly on Youtube), I saw a lot of people complaining about Magic Mouse's sensor, so I ended up ordering a second hand Magic Trackpad. A brand new MM2 costs around USD 150,00 in Brazil. An used MT1 costed around USD 50,00.
