the guy said it is from WWDC in the 1980's

Can anyone back this up? Did they give these out at WWDC? Any other information about it you may know?

don't know about WWDC, but the font used for the word "Apple" is their old font used until about 2002. What makes me curious however is the logo, as Apple used the old rainbow-colored logo until 1998, and to the best of my knowledge never used it in multiple colorizations.
So, my guess would be sometime between 1998 and 2002… hope this helps a bit.

Although the logo is not the rainbow, would they really print a rainbow logo in a notebook that is otherwise black and white? That could have been the break-though that made Apple realize they needed a solid logo.

Yes those were at WWDC in the 80's. Also were available around the office. I have a few of those, do you mind me asking how much you bought it for?
