Pretty clever, saw it on Engadget...

It's a good thing that either way I hold the phone, browsing, making calls, and landscape mode, my hand doesn't touch that area.

This isn't an iPad.
You WILL have to change yourself to fit the product.
It does not fit you.

1) Doesn't affect wifi, thus the shots w/ facetime are 'ok'
2) I posted some images of how I hold my phone, and I have no signal issues when holding it just like I held my 3G.. which looks like the way they hold it.

What I've noticed is that I can only replicate the problem if I cover the ENTIRE separation from the front of the phone to back...which rarely happens during normal use. Even if my palm rests over that area, it doesn't affect the signal.

Seriously fuzion, I like Apple as much, if not more, than the next guy, but asking people to hold their phones a certain way is asinine.

I understand I was just posting to show that I hold it in a very similar, if not the same, fashion as shown in the pics and don't have issues w/ the cell signal dropping off.. but I can 100% duplicate signal loss by covering both gaps on each side of the phone.

I get it. I wasn't knocking you bro. ;)

BTW, I don't have this problem. I have the yellow screen issue, but not this one.

Yes, but you're holding it with your right hand, so you only cover the lower right-hand corner of the phone. I hold my phone with my left, so the reverse is true for me.

Edit: Wait, why are your photos flipped?

This phone is ********** awesome. I'm sorry your guys' phones suck, but mine is flawless. Take it back and get an Evo. Then you can b**** about bad battery life.

Excellent observation !!!!

I'm not sure if you saw the article on Gizmodo about the accidentally dropped iPhone 4 that shattered (complete accident), but if we hold our iPhones the way that Steve is suggesting, the phone will be much more likely to slip out of our hands, fall, and shatter.

Yeah did them with the laptop cam built in; i'm a lefty.

Those photos can't show hard they are hold the phone. The video is smothering the phone by chubby palm.

Does it really matter? I should be able to hold the phone that I've payed for in any way I'd like, with as much grip as I'd like. A phone should work as a phone, should work as a phone.

If you have to tell people how to hold your phone, you blew it.
