im near the end of my 1 year warranty for my imac and im going to buy applecare for it but im going to be selling the imac next june. Will the applecare be registered on the system or my account and can it be transfered to the new owner.

can anyone help?

Apple Care is registered under the Serial Number of the iMac. If it were to be sold, nothing needs to be done to transfer it to the new owner.

Just to clarify, if you read the terms and conditions; Apple requests that the original owner faxes or emails Apple telling them of the change of ownership. It does not seem as if that is necessary according to the users on here.

In practice, it doesn't matter
they just check the serial number

went to apple store yesterday and that's what they did
didn't verify the owner's name
