AppleCare+ and AppleCare Question

Hey all, I just had a quick question. I purchased a iPhone 4S on craigslist. I searched up the serial number and it says it is covered under AppleCare+ until 2014. I called AppleCare to ask if my phone could be replaced because my home button is mushy. He asked for my serial number and my email. He said the email didnt match the AppleCare email. I told him i bought it used on craigslist and he said he transferred the email. So would i be able to get a replacement phone without a reciept or anything? :confused: Thanks everyone! :) :eek:

It would seem if he transferred the email that yes you are covered, but to make sure, call them back and ask.
