I had a couple of hypothetical questions. I want a preunibody macbook pro (I like the boxy design, looks cool to me) but I'm a really, really unlucky guy and well, scared that the GPU will fry pretty much the instant I turn it on.
I figured I should hunt for a used one still covered by Applecare at least for a little bit to alleviate some of my worries. So a quick question.
If Applecare is still in effect it can be transfered over with no problems right? I just get some serial number or a receipt or something, no need to go though some long troublesome process to transfer applecare yes?
What would happen if they can't repair the Macbook Pro? Would they do an even exchange (a 15 inch unibody with graphics card) or would they just say I'm S.O.L. and send me on my way? Or is it a case to case situation?
Any extended warranties on the GPU/logic board issue?
Applecare covers accidental as well right? Liquid spills, drop on hardwood, etc, etc.
I appreciate any help you guys can give me. Thanks!
