I was just wondering what is the minimum battery capacity an Apple Watch must breach before it is eligible for battery replacement? I've been hearing conflicting reports that once you have less than 80% battery health, the battery is replaced for free under AppleCare+. Others state only if it is 50% or less.
Here in Australia we are protected by a 2 years warranty for defects and that includes battery health being 50% or lower.
I have a SS Apple Watch and am unsure if I need AppleCare+. Should I get it? The only thing that might sway the value in my favour is if the battery is replaced if it gets to 80% or lower battery health within a 2 years period. Otherwise I'm pretty careful with my devices.
