Applecare: Can you buy it as a student after purchasing a mac when not a student

Hi

I'm planning to buy a 2015 13inch macbook pro now and am considering getting applecare however I will be a HE student in September and I've read that you can purchase applecare as a student for around 50 quid.

My question is can I buy my mac now and then wait until i'm in HE to buy applecare with the student discount??

If you are registered on a course starting in September then phone the education store and they may offer you the education pricing now.

Although I'm a student, I've made several large purchases with the education discount and I've never had to even show proof. I would go ahead and get it.
