AppleCare + Charges on Credit Card

I just logged on to my credit card to make sure everything was well with my purchase this morning and I see the normal $1 hold for Apple and then there was a hold of $52.55 (AppleCare+ with tax). I normally preorder my Apple products but never have had AppleCare+ at the start (always added later). Is it normal to be charged for AppleCare+ before your order even ships? I hope this is a sign that it will ship close to launch day not 4-6 weeks like I received in my email. I ordered within minutes of the site coming back online this morning and got the 42 Sport white band.

Seems to be fairly typical of others who ordered Apple Care+ with the watch. Although lots of us don't have a preauthorization on our debit/credit cards yet for the watch. I didn't get Apple Care (will when it arrives), just the watch. No authorization on my card yet.
