applecare earphones question

does applecare cover the earphones or just the handset?

If it is within the coverage period and it isn't accidental damage, then sure why not.

I will do, not sure whats happened just one ear has gone super quiet on me and they been on my computer desk for a few weeks... I'll have a read of the fine print an see where I can go from there.+

Everything in the box is covered by your statutory warranty, and if you have had it for less than 6 months, just take them back and get them replaced. Longer than 6 months they can push the onus onto you to prove it is due to a manufacturing defect.

I'm outside the 12 month warranty and into my applecare which states as above covers everythin in the box

you can get them replaced, but really, a pair of $10 earbuds from a company like skull candy is just as good, which you can pick up in almost any store

depending on where the apple store is, it could cost almost that in gas getting there!

free replacement or spend money on earphones...... I think I will go with the freebie lol only going to cost £3.10 in train fare so free replacement + £3.10 train fare over $10 dollars.... I know my choice lol
