Hey got a question ...

There is someone who is interested in buying my upgraded PowerMac Dual 2.5 G5. I figured I will sell it just so I can upgrade myself to the new PowerMac Quad. I have 3 years of Applecare on my Dual 2.5 ... is this transferable to the new owner when he purchases the machine?

Thanks in advance!

Yup, I all you have to do is call Apple with both your information and the new buyers.

Unfortunately, they now claim you need to send in the information, in written form. I don't know, if some of the reps allow it done over the phone.

Its nice, when it isn't the Applecare, just regular warranty. Then all the new person has to do is register the machine. At least that was what I was told.

Hmm this must have happened fairly recently.

Thanks guys for the info. Now I can really fulfill my tech-whorish need to buy the new Dual Dual-Core Quad G5.
