Does anyone know if in case of accidental damage AppleCare+ for the MacBook Pro 2017, this will be global/worldwide or just in the United States?

I know regular repair for the Mac is global/worldwide, but I can not read anything about the coverage in case of the accidental damage cases.

I am taking a MacBook Pro from the US back to Europe

Since it's only being sold there I highly doubt you could claim AppleCare+ in the Netherlands or something. Might be wrong though.

Apple seems to indicate that its global in coverage

FAQ - AppleCare Plus
AppleCare products for Apple Watch, for Mac, for iPod, and for Apple TV provide global repair coverage. Service will be limited to the options available in the country or region where service is requested. Service options, parts availability, and response time vary by country or region.
